BECCA MACY | International Relations; Globalization & Human Rights
Lesley University, M.A., Interdisciplinary Studies
Lesley University, B.A., Holistic Psychology

For her graduate degree at Lesley University, Becca focused on somatic psychology and cross-cultural studies. This was a natural continuation of her interdisciplinary undergraduate work in holistic psychology and international relations. Her favorite experience during college was her participation in the yearlong Model United Nations course, which culminated with the Harvard National Model United Nations conference, where she served as the sole World Health Organization delegate for Mozambique. Becca has always been fascinated by the intersections of psychology, health, sociology, cultural anthropology, global studies, and social justice. She has lived and worked in both Belize and Costa Rica, where she supported local initiatives for sustainable, community-based entrepreneurship. As a visitor to these countries, she studied and experienced firsthand the complexities of globalization and the impact of U.S. foreign policy on global sociopolitical dynamics. Becca began teaching at the college level in 2014 and is currently an instructor at Lesley University and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science. She teaches various psychology courses and seminars that focus on systems theories and global perspectives, as well as Spanish language courses. This fall, she will teach in the School of Arts & Sciences at MCPHS University and prepare applications for Ph.D. programs in clinical health psychology with a concentration in global health. Becca has taught psychology twice for Pre-College at Amherst College.

AARON MACCARLEY | Photography; Travel Photography
dBs Film School, Film Production Diploma
Reed College, B.A., Philosophy

After studying philosophy and creative writing at Reed College, Aaron spent half a year teaching English in China before deciding to pursue his love for the arts by moving to Berlin, Germany, to study film production at dBs Film School. He then returned to his hometown of Los Angeles, where he worked in the camera department for film productions ranging from commercials for Uber to music videos for Lele Pons. He missed the European lifestyle, however, and last year moved back to Berlin, where he now freelances as a filmmaker and photographer and teaches film editing and camera technique both privately and in workshops. He is fluent in English and German, and is currently learning Spanish. He holds a TEFL certificate and has also taught English to elementary and middle school students. This fall he’ll be traveling around eastern Europe with his camera and notebooks, documenting his adventures and finishing work on a feature film script he hopes to pitch to studios this winter.
